Credit Cards
Before choosing a credit card, it is important to know exactly what you need the card for; if you only use your card for small regular purchases and repay the balance every month interest charges may be irrelevant to you, on the other hand, if you rarely pay the balance in full it is better to choose a card with an interest-free period and transfer to another like card when that period elapses.
Many card companies will offer a so-called 'double deal' which combines low introductory interest with a cheap balance transfer rate, in fact many cards now have a period of no interest when first acquired, and also can offer cash-back or rewards for your spending.
It is not advisable to withdraw cash using a credit card as a percentage charge will be added to any withdrawals, and any use of the card abroad will also incur a fee.
